Proposal: To hold a community based fundraiser (on or as close to Easter to Celebrate the Founding of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence) in order to raise needed reserves required for the Abbey of the Traveling Red Veil to apply for Official 501c3 Status with the Internal Revenue Service so that the House may apply to become a Fully Professed House and enter into a Trademark agreement with the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, Inc, Tm, ©

EXPECTED OUTCOMES: To raise at least half if not 3/4 of the funds needed for the IRS filing fees.

EXPECTED COST: purchase of raffle tickets

EXPECTED DIFFICULTIES: Applying for the appropriate license needed to operate a raffle ticket give away as Raffles are considered to be a game of chance in accordance with the definition of the law.
SOLUTIONS: Request help from the Treasurer/Mistress of Coin in contacting the appropriate delegating authority to obtain the License so that the Abbey is operating within the confines of the law.

As the the event is to be hosted by Scottie's Doghouse and there is a section of the pub open to 18-21 year olds up to a certain time. Raffle tickets shall ONLY be sold to patrons of the establishment in the Tavern Section of the establishment as the tavern section is 21 and over only and all patrons have been verified to be of legal age by the Establishment and Door Keepers.

Obtaining Give aways for the occasion: Several gift baskets, some collectible cards, Spokane memorabilia, and what not shall be offered up as prizes for the Raffle.
​
Raffle tickets shall be sold individually or in groupings as patrons are able to afford with each ticket being valued at $1. All funds collected shall be held by the Treasurer of the Abbey on site and accounted for immediately with second verification at the close of the event.
​
Funds Collected shall be distributed into the General Working Fund of the Abbey of the Traveling Red Veil and earmarked specifically for the filing of the 501c3 paperwork.

The event was an outstanding success with ALL Founders, Novices, postulants, aspirants, and guards of the house in attendance.
